This page explains what information igloocubes.com ("igloocubes," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. We've tried to write this in plain English rather than legalese — if anything is unclear, write to us at the address below and we'll explain.
1. Who operates this site
igloocubes is operated by Proof Signal LLC. You can reach us at hello@igloocubes.com with any privacy-related question, request, or complaint.
2. What we collect
igloocubes is a content site — there are no user accounts, no logins, no comment system. We do not collect names, email addresses, or contact information unless you voluntarily provide them (for example, by signing up for our newsletter).
The information we do collect falls into four categories:
- Server logs. When you visit any page, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard request data: IP address, browser type, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. We retain these for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention, then aggregate or delete them.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which answers are useful. GA4 collects anonymized IP addresses, device type, country, page paths, and on-site behavior. We have IP anonymization enabled. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or via your browser's privacy settings.
- Search and suggestions. If you use the search box or suggest a question, we store the query or question, the page it came from, the referrer, a source label, a session token for deduplication, and the browser user agent. Search events also capture category and result count; question suggestions also capture status. Supabase adds the timestamp automatically when the row is written. We keep that data so we can see what readers want and decide what to answer next.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small set of cookies. None of them identify you personally — they identify your browser.
- Consent cookie (
igloo_consent): records whether you've accepted or declined non-essential cookies. Set by our consent banner. - Analytics cookies (GA4,
_ga,_ga_*): set after you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner.
You can change your choice at any time using the consent banner at the bottom of the page, or clear cookies through your browser. If you clear cookies, you'll see the consent banner again on your next visit.
4. Email subscriptions
If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address and a small amount of signup metadata so we can manage the double opt-in flow and send the emails you asked for. We store that information in Supabase and Resend. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom. We do not sell, rent, or share email addresses with third parties.
5. Third parties we work with
To run the site, we rely on a small number of vendors. Each one processes only the data needed to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, security. Receives your IP address and request data as part of normal web traffic.
- Google — analytics (GA4). Google's privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Supabase — stores anonymous search queries, question suggestions, and newsletter signups, including the fields listed above, so we can report on what readers want to know and manage the mailing list.
- Bluesky — when you click a "Share to Bluesky" button, your browser opens bluesky.com and may send the page URL and title to Bluesky's share endpoint. We do not see your Bluesky account or any data from it.
- Pinterest — when you click a "Pin" button on an image, your browser opens pinterest.com with the image and page details. We do not see your Pinterest account. Our site also embeds Pinterest-related metadata so pins back to our pages display correctly.
- OpenAI — limited to back-office answer drafting, not visitor-facing. No visitor data is sent to OpenAI.
6. What we do not collect
We do not collect or sell: your name, your phone number, your home address, biometric data, financial information, government IDs, or any sensitive personal information as defined under GDPR Article 9. We do not run retargeting pixels, cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or any form of behavioral advertising on this site.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict our use of it. We don't hold much — server logs expire in 30 days, analytics data is aggregated in GA4, and the only personal data we typically have is your email address if you subscribed.

- EEA / UK visitors: the data controller is Proof Signal LLC. Our legal basis for processing is legitimate interest (operating the site and measuring usage) and consent (for non-essential cookies and email subscriptions). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
- California visitors: you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Children: igloocubes is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we'll delete it.
8. International transfers
Our hosting (Cloudflare) and analytics (Google) are US-based providers. If you visit igloocubes from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Cloudflare and Google participate in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which provides an adequacy mechanism for transfers from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.
9. Security
We use HTTPS everywhere. Cloudflare provides DDoS protection and bot management. We do not store payment information of any kind (we don't sell anything directly). No security measure is perfect, but we work to keep the data we hold to a minimum and to use reputable providers.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for significant changes, post a notice on the site. Continued use of igloocubes after a change means you accept the updated policy.
