It is extraordinarily unlikely. A large ape-sized animal would be hard to hide in a continent with roads, hunters, hikers, wildlife surveys, cameras, and decades of field biology.
Smithsonian notes that there is no fossil evidence for the giant ape species Bigfoot stories often point to, and that North America has not proven to be a hospitable ecosystem for any great ape apart from humans. The primate fossil record also shows a different point: primates did live in North America long ago, but that is not evidence for a hidden modern population.
If a breeding population existed today, it would need enough animals to avoid inbreeding and would keep leaving traces such as bones, DNA, scat, hair, or roadkill. That is why scientists treat Bigfoot as folklore, not a documented North American primate.
