How do I screenshot on Mac?
Short answerUse Shift-Command-3 for the whole screen, Shift-Command-4 for part of it, and Shift-Command-5 for more options.

The fastest shortcuts are built in. Press Shift-Command-3 to capture the full screen, or Shift-Command-4 to drag and capture a selected area.

If you want more control, press Shift-Command-5 to open the screenshot toolbar. That gives you recording options, timer controls, and choices for where the file gets saved.

Mac screenshots are one of those things that feels hidden until you know the shortcut, and then it becomes muscle memory almost immediately.
