Upcycled food is made from ingredients that would otherwise have gone to waste. That can be a smart sustainability move, and it can absolutely still be a nutritious product.
But the label does not automatically mean “healthier.” It means the ingredient stream is being reused well. You still need to check sugar, sodium, protein, fiber, and whether the food actually fits your diet goals.
If someone likes the sustainability angle, great. Just remember that “good for the planet” and “good for your daily macros” are related questions, not the same one.
